At the 7th annual conference of the "Gesellschaft für germanistische Sprachgeschichte e.V." on the topic of research about historical language contact, which took place from 24 to 26 September Prof Péter Maitz gave a lecture with the title "Sprachentstehung durch Sprachkontakt - Der Fall des Unserdeutsch (Rabaul Creole German) in Papua New Guinea".

Lecture by Prof Maitz in Luxembourg

Prof Péter Maitz gave a lecture at the 5th Congress of the International Society for Dialectology of German in Luxembourg with the title "Unserdeutsch (Rabaul Creole German) heute: Sprachsituation und Forschungsperspektiven". The lecture dealt with open questions and initial results of the research project on Unserdeutsch.
